Muntaser Naamneh

Muntaser Naamneh

Principal Investigator

Muntaser received his PhD from the Technion and then moved to the synchrotron at Paul Scherrer Institute in Switzerland as a postdoc fellow. Muntaser studies the microscopic electronic structure of quantum materials with the aim of discovering new phenomena in this class of materials.

Himadri Roy Dakua

Himadri Roy Dakua

Postdoc

Himadri is currently working on the growth of few-layers thick epitaxial thin films using MBE Pulsed Laser Deposition. He investigates the electronic properties of these films using different techniques such as Angle Resolved Photoemission Spectroscopy (ARPES), electrical transport, magnetotransport, etc. These studies help to identify and understand the underlying physics of some exotic phenomena such as topological surface state, quantum interference, superconductivity, etc.

Yoav Mairovich

Yoav Mairovich

MSc Student

Yoav is currently working on the growth of few-layers thick epitaxial thin films using MBE Pulsed Laser Deposition, in particular, Nicklate based compounds. The post-production processes of those thin films include sophisticated fabrication methods such as lithography, DC sputtering. He investigates the physical properties of these films using different techniques such as Angle Resolved Photoemission Spectroscopy (ARPES), electrical transport, magnetotransport, XRD, DFT. Additionally, Yoav is a Lab instructor of Physics Laboratory C for Advanced Physics Experiments.

Avia Hadar

Avia Hadar

MSc Student

Avia’s work focuses on growing Nickel-based thin films using Laser Molecular Beam Epitaxy, and searching for a better understanding of those components using sophisticated measurement techniques, such as Raman Spectroscopy, Angle-Resolved Photoemission Spectroscopy, electrical transport, and X-ray diffraction. Recently Avia started to use Quantum Espresso to calculate and simulate band structure and different spectra of those materials. Additionally, Avia is a teaching assistant in Solid State 1 for physics, and Physics 3A for electrical engineering.
